Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 24, 2026
Shizucam ("the App") is an iOS camera application provided by an individual developer ("the Developer"). This Privacy Policy ("the Policy") describes how information is handled in the App.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Basic Principles
The App does not transmit captured photos, videos, or location data to the Developer's servers. All captured data is stored on your device (and Apple services such as iCloud).
2. Information We Access
The App requests access to the following device features. All are necessary for camera functionality, and permission is requested on first launch.
| Information | Purpose | Required / Optional |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Capturing photos and videos | Required |
| Microphone | Recording audio during video capture | Required |
| Photo Library | Saving captured photos and videos to your iPhone | Required |
| Location | Recording the capture location in the photo (EXIF metadata) | Optional |
Location data is only stored within your device as photo metadata (EXIF). It is never transmitted to the Developer's servers. You can disable it at any time from the Settings screen.
The above permissions can be revoked at any time from the iOS Settings app. However, revoking permission may disable some or all features of the App.
3. Where Data Is Stored
- Captured photos and videos: Saved to your iPhone's Photo Library.
- App settings: Stored on the device (UserDefaults).
- Preset settings (lens, EV compensation) are stored only on your device (UserDefaults). They are not transmitted to external servers or synced via cloud.
- None of the above data is transmitted to the Developer's servers.
4. Responsibility for Data Management
All data captured and stored through the App (photos, videos, location data, etc.) is managed at the user's own responsibility. The Developer is not liable for any loss, leakage, or unauthorized third-party access to the data.
If you use the App's sharing features to send data to third parties, the Developer is not responsible for the outcome.
Captured photos and videos may involve portrait rights, privacy rights, copyright, or other rights of the subjects. Please verify these rights and proceed at your own responsibility when capturing, storing, or sharing.
5. Disclosure to Third Parties
The Developer does not provide, sell, or lend users' personal information to third parties, except in the following cases:
- When disclosure is required by law
- When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of the user
6. Analytics Tools and Advertising
The App does not include any advertising SDKs or third-party analytics tools.
If crash reports or anonymous usage statistics are introduced in the future, this Policy will be updated in advance and announced within the App. Continued use of the App after such changes will be deemed acceptance of the updated Policy.
7. Apple Services
The App runs on the iOS platform provided by Apple Inc. and may communicate with the following Apple services. These communications are governed by Apple's privacy policy. The Developer does not control and is not liable for Apple's handling of data.
- App Store / StoreKit (app purchase and restore processing)
- iCloud (backup based on device settings)
- Standard iOS features (Photo Library, Location Services, etc.)
8. Security
Because the App is designed not to transmit data externally, communication-level security risks are minimal. However, please manage your device's own security (passcode, biometric authentication, OS updates, etc.) at your own responsibility. The Developer is not liable for information leakage resulting from device security issues.
9. Children's Privacy
The App does not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13. If a child under 13 uses the App, please ensure it is under the supervision of a guardian.
10. Data Deletion
By deleting the App, the settings stored within the App will be removed from your device. Please delete photos and videos saved in the Photo Library individually from the iOS Photos app. Because the Developer does not retain user data on servers, there is no server-side data deletion process.
11. Disclaimer
The Developer makes reasonable efforts to protect privacy in the App, but does not guarantee any of the following:
- That the App is completely free of security vulnerabilities
- That no data leakage or loss will occur due to the operation of third parties (Apple, OS, other apps, etc.)
- That future OS updates will not affect the privacy protection features of the App
12. Changes to the Privacy Policy
This Policy may be revised as necessary due to legal changes, feature additions, or other reasons. Revised content takes effect when posted on this page. Important changes will also be announced within the App.
Continued use of the App after a revision will be deemed acceptance of the revised Policy. Please check this page periodically.
